It helps keep your profile and content centralized, secure, and organized.

We are talking about the Facebook business manager tool, which allows you to manage all the marketing and advertising activities developed in this social network.

In Facebook’s own words, it consists of “a central place to manage business tools, business assets, and employee access to these assets.”

It works completely separate from your personal profile and makes it easy for you to control multiple users’ access to additional resources like your Instagram account and product catalogs.

Let’s look a little more in detail at the functions of Facebook’s business manager

  • It keeps your business activities separate from your personal profile (thus avoiding the worry of posting in the wrong place or distracting yourself with funny videos when you should be working)
  • You can track Facebook ads, with detailed performance reports.
  • It empowers you to give access to your pages and services to external collaborators (suppliers, partners and agencies), without transferring ownership of the assets.
  • Your coworkers won’t be able to see any data from your personal Facebook account – just your name, work email, Page, and ads account.

Should you use it or does it apply for your business?

If you use Facebook for commercial purposes, the short answer is yes.

In fact, both large and small businesses use the business manager to organize and control their information and business assets in one place.

In case you still have doubts, we invite you to ask yourself the following questions.

  1. Do you have a marketing team in charge of managing the presence of the business on Facebook or Instagram?
  2. Do you manage multiple Facebook or Instagram assets, such as Pages, ad accounts, or apps?
  3. Do you work with providers who help you create, run, or manage your Pages or ads?
  4. Do you need to control access and permissions to your assets, without transferring ownership to others who collaborate with the operations of your business?
  5. Do you need to request access to other Pages, ad accounts, and apps, or share your Pages, ad accounts, and apps with third-party agencies?
  6. Are you looking to protect your business, through security tools attached to the new security center?

If you answered yes to one or more of the above queries, then the business manager is the right tool for your company.
